CMSL - Catholic Metro Soccer League


The Catholic Metro Soccer League is a recreational program primarily for Catholic Churches and Schools in the Atlanta area.  We strive to have 100% volunteer lead teams.  CMSL provides a framework of rules, schedules and officials to coordinate a 1st - 8th grade season in both the Spring and the Fall.  We assist the parishes in coordinating their programs and are a member of Catholic Metro Sports of Atlanta.

Seasons:

Fall - Register July/August & Play August/October (7 Game season w/Tournament for U10-U14)
Spring - Register January/February & Play March/May (6 Game season w/ Tournament for U14 only)

U7 - 1st Grade | 4v4 | size 3 ball | 4x6 goal
U8 - 2nd Grade | 5v5 | size 3 ball | 6x12 goal
U10 - 3rd/4th Grade | 7v7 | size 4 ball | 6x18 goal
U12 - 5th/6th Grade Girls | 7v7 for girls ON U10 FIELD W/NO PUNTING (Team numbers will be confirmed after registration) 
U12 - 5th/6th Grade Boys - 9v9 for boys on U12 sized field | size 4 ball | 6x18 goal (team numbers will be confirmed after registration) 
U14 - 7th/8th Grade | 9v9 | size 5 ball | 6x18 goal

CMSL Soccer Schedule

2024 Fall Season will be the following:

Registration Opens for all parishes  June 15th, 2024

Registration Closes:

U7, U8, U10, U12 and U14  -  July 26th
Pre K, and  Kindergarten  - August 9th

U7, U8, U10, U12 and U14
Season Dates:

Week 1 Games - August 24th/25th
August 31st- September 2nd - Labor Day Weekend - No Games
Week 2 Games - September 7th/8th
Week 3 Games - September 14th/15th
Week 4 Games - September 21st/22nd
Week 5 Games - September 28th/29th
Week 6 Games - October 5th/6th
October 12th-14th - Columbus Weekend - No Games
Week 7  Games - October 19th -20th
U10, U12 and U14  Tournament - October 26th/27th

CMSL LEAGUE RULES

The Catholic Metro Soccer League (CMSL) has worked over many years to develop rules that allow children of all skill levels to participate in the church recreational program together.  Our primary goal is the safety and happiness of the children.  The league provides the rules in order to minimize the disruption of their happiness by actions of the parents.

This is their game.
They want to be a part of a team.
They want to play with their friends and represent their school/church.
They want an opportunity to compete and play on the field.
They want an environment of compassion and fairness.
They want their parents to provide positive encouragement.
