St. Peter Chanel High School Basketball Program

The CMLA High School Basketball Program is a Parish run program. For additional information please visit CMLAHS.

IMPORTANT - TEAM FORMATION
We recommend that participants register as a team with their friends. We cannot guarantee individual registrants placement on a team. If you need help getting in touch with teams that are forming contact [email protected] and we will put you in touch with identified team captains.

DIVISIONS: Girls Open Division - 9th - 12th Girls - Teams can be mixed by grade Boys JV Division - Teams are limited to 9th and 10th grade boys Boys Varsity Division - Teams are limited to 11th and 12th grade boys

SEASON INFORMATION
Registration usually runs from October until the middle of November. Practices will depend on gym availability and may start in November. Season starts in December and ends in February. The teams will play 6 (primarily) Sunday games during the season which ends in a tournament.  Note that two season games are played on MLK weekend Sunday and Monday.

ELIGIBILITY: The league has eligibility requirements. Boys cannot be on a high school team roster. Girls cannot be on a varsity high school roster. For specifics please review the rules on the website

SPC 23-24 CMLAHS Basketball

St. Peter Chanel High School Basketball Program

The St. Peter Chanel ("SPC") Basketball Program is run by volunteers of the SPC Athletic Ministry. For your information, the SPC high school basketball teams participate in the Catholic Metro League of Atlanta High School basketball program ("CMLAHS"). CMLAHS 2023-2024 Basketball Program Registration starts October 1st and ends November 12th.

To be eligible to participate in CMLAHS a player must fulfill the following criteria:
- Have attended a Catholic elementary/middle school or 
- Is presently attending a Catholic high school or
- Is an active member of a parish within the Archdiocese of Atlanta; and
- Must be enrolled in high school

PLAYER IS NOT ON ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ROSTERS:
  • a. Boys JV league and Varsity league participants must not be on any high school basketball roster (9th, JV or Varsity) at the commencement of the CMLAHS season.
  • b. Girls league participants must not be on a high school varsity basketball roster at the commencement of the CMLAHS season.

PRACTICE/SEASON INFORMATION
Practices will start in November. If your team wants to practice we will have limited practice slots available starting in November. Please contact Brandon Heron-Vanta at [email protected] if you would like practice times. The season starts in December and ends in February. The teams will play 6 (primarily) Sunday games during the season which ends in a tournament.

February 25th - Tournament Finals

REGISTRATION/JERSEY FEE
Registration Fee is $125
Jersey Fee is $25 (if needed)

Jerseys -You can order a new jersey or wear your CMLAHS jersey from this parish from last year. Just make sure you do not have duplicate jersey numbers on your team. We have a limited number of used loaner jerseys available.

Please note the following refund processes for cancellations after registration:
A $25 refund fee will be charged for cancellations before the registration closing date of 11/12; a $50 refund fee will be charged for cancellations between 11/12 and 12/10; and no refunds will be allowed after 12/10.

Jersey Refund Policy: You will receive a refund for a purchased jersey if you cancel your registration before the registration closing date of 11/12. However, after 11/12 there will be NO refunds for jerseys purchased.
