The St. Peter Chanel ("SPC") 
Soccer Program is open to parishioners from SPC parish and for Queen of Angels Catholic School families. We offer the following programs every Fall (August-October) and Spring (March-May):

PK - 2nd Grade (U6-U8) Saturday morning program.  This program runs intramural soccer practices and games on Saturday mornings at the Queen of Angels field.  This is a parent driven program where parents help coach the teams.

3rd - 8th Grade (U10-U14) CMSL (Catholic Metro Soccer League) teams have practices at Queen of Angels and play both home and away games with other CMSL parishes in Atlanta.  These teams are parent coached and the teams will usually have a weeknight practice and then a game on the weekend - either Saturday or Sunday.  Game schedules are released a week or two before the start of the season.

SPC Fall 2022 Soccer

St. Peter Chanel Fall 2022 Soccer Program 

The St. Peter Chanel (SPC) Soccer Program is run by volunteers of the SPC Athletic Ministry. PLEASE do not register if you are not a Queen of Angels Catholic School Student or SPC Parishioner. If you have any questions, please send a message to Jan O'Donnell (SPC PK-U8) [email protected] and Rob Aldrich (SPC U10-U14) [email protected].

The 3rd through 8th grade SPC soccer teams will participate in the Catholic Metro Soccer League (CMSL). Teams in the CMSL League compete against teams from other parishes and schools, including St. Brigid, Christ the King, Holy Spirit, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, St. Jude, and St. Thomas More.

The Fall Catholic Metro Sports League (CMSL) season will consist of 7 games beginning the weekend of August 27th and ending the weekend of October 22nd. The U10, U12 and U14 programs will participate in a CMSL tournament the weekend of October 29th. Games will be on either Saturday or Sunday with some weekends, you might have 2 games.

Registration begins June 6th and ends August 12th for the CMSL League and August 14th for the Pre K, U6 and U8 programs.

Please note: CMSL works in conjunction with the Catholic Metro Volleyball League, so no (5th/6th grade) or (7th/8th grade) girls volleyball games will be scheduled during soccer games. 

Season Dates:
  • Evaluations and Teams Set - August 13th/14th
  • Week 1 Games - August 27th/28th
  • Labor Day Weekend September 3rd/4th - NO GAMES
  • Week 2 Games - September 10th/11th
  • Week 3 Games - September 17th/18th
  • Week 4 Games - September 24th/25th
  • Week 5 Games - October 1st/2nd
  • Columbus Day Weekend October 8th/9th - NO GAMES
  • Week 6 Games - October 15th/16th
  • Week 7 Games - October 22nd/23rd
  • U10/U12/U14 Tournament - October 29th/30th

Registration Cost- $140.00 plus uniform fee (if needed)

Uniforms: Returning (3rd-8th) players will reuse the uniforms from last season but have the opportunity during registration to purchase a new uniform for $30. New registrants will need to purchase a uniform.

The PK through 2nd grade SPC soccer program is an intramural program in which teams will play other teams from the SPC league with all games to be played on the Queen of Angels fields. All divisions will be divided by grades but will be Co-ed. If we have enough numbers in the U8 division for both girls and boys, we will split by gender. Teams will be divided by the SPC committee based on skill level to equalize the teams. Please do not request to be on same team for carpool reasons, however committee will try to put some friend requests together.

  • Week 1 Games - August 27th
  • Labor Day Weekend September 3rd - NO GAMES
  • Week 2 Games - September 10th
  • Week 3 Games - September 17th
  • Week 4 Games - September 24th
  • Week 5 Games - October 1st
  • Columbus Day Weekend October 8th - NO GAMES
  • Week 6 Games - October 15th
  • Week 7 Games - October 22nd

The SPC Pre-K thru 2nd Grade leagues will be organized as follows:
• SPC Pre-K/ Kindergarten (U6) Coed Saturday Program
  • Pre-K/U6 will practice from 9-9:30 am followed by a game from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
  • Registration Cost - $110 (includes a Size 3 Soccer ball)
  • Uniforms - Returning players will reuse the uniforms from last season but have the opportunity during registration to purchase a new uniform for $20. New registrants will need to purchase a uniform kit (which includes a jersey, shorts and socks).

• SPC U7/U8: 1st - 2nd Grade Coed Saturday Program
  • U7/U8 will practice from 10:30 am-11:00 am followed by a game from 11:00 am to 12pm.
  • Registration Cost - $110
  • Uniforms - Returning players will reuse the uniforms from last season but have the opportunity during registration to purchase a new uniform for $20. New registrants will need to purchase a uniform kit (which includes a jersey, shorts and socks)

Note that if you have more than one player to register, you will have the opportunity to register all players prior to checking out and making final payment with a family discount listed below:
2 kids - $20 off
3 kids - $30 off
4 kids - $40 off
5 or more kids - $100 off 

Please note the following refund processes for cancellations after registration:
For the Pre-K, U6 and U8 programs - a $20 refund fee will be charged for cancellations before the registration closing date of 8/14; a $45 refund fee will be charged for cancellations between 8/15 and 8/26; and no refunds will be allowed after 8/26

For the U10, U12, U14 programs - a $30 refund fee will be charged for cancellations before the registration closing date of 8/12; a $55 refund fee will be charged for cancellations between 8/13 and 8/26; and no refunds will be allowed after 8/26

Uniform Refund Policy: You will receive a refund for a purchased uniform if you cancel your child's registration before the registration closing date of 8/12 for CMSL and 8/14 for Pre-K thru 2nd grade. However, after 8/12 and 8/14, respectively there will be NO refunds for uniforms purchased.

We will continue to need Parent-Coach volunteers for following:
• U6-U8 SPC League (need 20-30)
• U10B and U10G (Parents coach practice and games)
• U12B and U12G (Parents coach practice and games)
