Referee License Reimbursement Policy
 Purpose
 This reimbursement is available to individuals obtaining their initial referee certification and is intended to reduce financial barriers for entry-level officials, supporting WSSC’s goal of developing new referees.
  
  1. Eligibility Requirements
 To qualify for reimbursement, individuals must:
 - Successfully complete a referee certification course and pass any required final exam.
- Officiate at least ten (10) WSSC-sanctioned matches within 12 months of the course completion date, documented via the current means provided by the HSA Referee Assignor or their delegate.
 
  2. Reimbursement Amount
  - Up to $100 for the cost of obtaining the first-time referee certification.
 
  3. Reimbursement Submission and Deadlines
 3.1 Reimbursement Submission Window
 All reimbursement requests must be submitted within 13 months of your course completion date.
 3.2 Submission Method
 Email a single request to [email protected] and [email protected] with the subject line: Referee License Reimbursement Request – [Your Name]
 3.3 Required Documentation
 Each submission must include:
 1.    Completed Course Certification showing the referee’s full name exactly as it will appear on the reimbursement check (or, for minors, the legal guardian’s name).
 2.    Proof of Payment: A dated, itemized receipt or invoice showing the licensing course cost and completed payment method.
 3.    Match Log: A dated, itemized list verifying at least ten WSSC matches officiated within the 12-month eligibility window.
 3.4 Alternate Arrangements
  - If you are unable to email the required materials (for example, due to file‑size limits), please email your request to [email protected] and [email protected] with the subject line: “Referee Reimbursement Alternative Request – [Your Name]”
- That request must be submitted within the same 13-month window following your course completion date.
 
  4. Policy Review & Oversight
  - The Board will audit reimbursements for compliance with these requirements annually.
- A seasonal summary of disbursements may be shared with the Board for internal review and planning.
- The Board reserves the right to modify this policy at any time to ensure alignment with club priorities and financial health.
