The NPSL has been successful because it provides competitive teams with:
Play Coverage Through U19
The NPSL is open to boys and girls competitive teams, ages U10 to U19. In Fall 2017, the league had over 385 teams participating.
Family-Friendly Convenience for Local Competition
The NPSL seeks to provide necessary competition at as local a level possible, limiting the travel until necessary. With the increased team density this league provides, NPSL delivers equal or shorter average travel commutes to competitive matches than alternative venues ... giving back to the families some of their valuable weekend time.
Winter Girls High School League
The NPSL Winter League is open to interested Girls U15-U19 teams from Districts I, II, III and IV that want to play quality competitive soccer upon conclusion of their high school soccer. The 12-match league play commences in early December and concludes in late March prior to start of Washington Youth Soccer Founders, Presidents and Championship Cups.
Most Economical Select League Fees
The NPSL is structured to provide the greatest value in youth select soccer in Washington State. With a competitive play venue unmatched in non-premier youth select soccer in Washington, a 100% volunteer-powered delivery model and low travel costs, the NPSL is a great value as it remains vigilant on costs during these challenging economic times.
League Governance Member-Driven, Member-Focused
NPSL governance is structured to be run by and for its members, supported by participating associations and clubs. All participants are invited to be part of the NPSL Steering Committee. By having a democratic leadership group focused exclusively on select-level league play, all decisions are made in the members’ interests and not adversely influenced by other factors.
