Welcome to South Florida's most successful softball recreational program. For 42 years strong, Cooper City Optimist's softball program has been a start for so many successful athletes that have gone on to excel on the diamond through high school and college. We consist of girls from the ages of 4 years old all the way up to 16 years old. Our 6u division starts on a tee and our 8u division is coach pitch. We introduce kid pitch at 11u and by 14/16u, we are at high school distances. We are a volunteer driven league led by league commissioners and outstanding coaches. Whether it's your first time playing softball or your 5th time, you will have lots of fun while playing competitively.

Our travel teams are highly competitive and we fully represent our city with 8u,10u,12u, and 14u divisions. We play some of the biggest USSSA, PGF, and USFA tournaments throughout the state. Our travel coaches also consist of volunteers who have come up through the Cooper City program and are giving back their knowledge to the youth of Cooper City.

Spring 2024 Registrations ARE NOW OPEN!

We have a TON of fun scheduled for our girls this spring. Here is a quick timeline:

Friday, February 2nd : FREE SOFTBALL CLINIC (Bill Lips Park) 6-9pm

Saturday, February 3th : Spring Registrations End
Sunday, February 4th: Player Evaluations and Draft Night
Monday, February 12th: Official Practices Begin
Monday, February 26th: Regular Season Games Begin
Saturday, May 18th: CHAMPIONSHIP DAY TOURNAMENT

 

GAMES AND PRACTICE INFO:

During the spring season, there will be ONE GAME during a weeknight and ONE GAME during the weekend. 

Practices will be scheduled by the optimist from Feb.12 to Feb 25th. After Feb 25th, it is the head coaches discretion to schedule a practice for the team. Fields will NOT be available for practices.

A game and practice schedule will not be made until we know how many teams we have which will be determined on February 4th.
