Flag Football (Coed) - 2025 Fall

Registration may be completed and paid online. If you prefer to pay by check or cash, please print the registration confirmation email and bring it to one of the sports programs in-person registration events or enclose it with your payment in a sealed envelope with the name of sports program printed on the outside of the envelope and place it in the drop box located outside the entrance of the Cooper City Optimist clubhouse located at 10500 Stirling Road, Cooper City, FL 33026. You will receive a confirmation email when your payment has been posted to the registration.

**The city of Cooper City requires a $65 non-resident fee to be collected for registrations of any participant who does not reside in Cooper City (the city field in the participant’s home address must be "Cooper City"). A copy of your Cooper City water bill is required to be uploaded with the participant’s registration for verification purposes. 

A $1.75 Service Fee and 2.9% Processing Fee will be added to all registration orders completed and paid for online. Service Fees and Processing Fees are not refundable.

Travel Soccer 2025 - 2026

Cooper City Optimist Travel Soccer requires players to register to attend our 2025-26 Annual Tryout scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 1st (although not all teams will have Tryouts on this date). Registering in advance allows our coaches to come prepared with information on all players planning on attending their team's Tryouts. It also allows them to contact you BEFORE Tryouts to learn more about you and your child including providing additional Tryout instructions or Tryout schedule changes.
  • Keep in mind that the month of May is part of the rainy season.
  • There is no cost to attend our tryouts; in other words, Tryouts are free.
  • Our Tryout Schedule will be posted later this month.
  • We are still in the process of finalizing what teams we will be fielding in our 2025-26 Travel Program . We have posted in the Tryout Instructions page the teams we are anticipating fielding in the upcoming 2025-26 travel season.
  • Parent, if your intention is to play your child up an age group, you must still register your child in their legal Calendar Year of Birth Age Group. 
  • Trying out for an older Age Group must have the Cobras Youth Sports Commissioner or Director of Coaches (DoC) pre-approval.  
  • Exception to this pre-approval requirement is for players who played up in an older age group (in our Travel Program) this past year. They are automatically "grandfathered in" .

Once Tryouts are held, and players are selected, a system-generated "Participant Made the Team Email" will be sent to the families of the selected players. This email informs the parents that their child has been selected and will include the final steps they need to take in order to finalize their acceptance and position on the team. Parents will then need to log into their Blue Sombrero account, accept their position on the team, and make a secure payment online for the cost of the program.
  • The Travel Program 2025-26 annual player registration fee is in the process of being set. However, for estimation purposes only, we expect it to be under $1,000 for Residents - which includes the Travel Program Uniform Package estimated value $300 making us one of the most affordable travel soccer programs in South Florida.
  • The city of Cooper City requires a $130 mandatory NON-resident fee to be collected for registrations of any participant who do not reside in Cooper City (the "city" field in the participant’s home address must be "Cooper City"). A copy of your Cooper City utility bill is required to be uploaded with the participant’s registration for verification purposes.
  • All players trying out must carry medical insurance.

2025 Summer Basketball

Registration fee includes: Uniform (jersey and shorts), at least a 12 game season (indoors) plus 1 or more playoff games, season champion trophy, participation awards for divisions below Freshman, and individual/team picture.
