We would like to share some information regarding the upcoming
Cooper City Optimist Soccer 2024-25 Season.
Registration In person dates:
September 4, 2024, Wednesday, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
September 18, 2024, Wednesday, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
September 21, 2024, Saturday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Registrations are located at the Cooper City Optimist Clubhouse located at 10500 Stirling Road.
Cost of the program:
Cooper City resident $200
Non Cooper City residents $265
Last day of registrations and final in person day registrations Sept 21, 2024

Cooper City Optimist SOCCER PLAYOFFS RULES 2023
Playoffs •Begin TBD •double elimination •Classic Style -if games finish in a tie -overtime rules -2— 5 minute halves played fully -NOT GOLDEN GOAL -No water breaks during extra time -U8-U10 can make substitutions at the half
Goal keepers •during overtime; new start; new game Penalty Kicks •ONLY if extra time ends in a draw, penalty kicks will happen •players on the field ONLY are allowed to take penalty kicks •when the whistle blows at the end of the extra time the goalie in goal MUST remain in goal for penalty kicks •Only players that were on the field at the end of extra time are allowed to take penalty kicks. If after 5 rounds the game is still tied, penalty kicks will move to sudden death and be selected by the coach.(Players that were on the field only including the goal keeper). Substitution Rules for Playoffs •NO Player can sit twice until the entire team excluding the goalkeeper has sat once.
**If a coach does not follow the rules a yellow card will be issued to a coach and the player or players in violation need to go in and play. Mercy Rule •when it gets to halftime and there is a goal differential greater than 8 the game is over or anytime after the 2nd half of the game the game will be over. RED CARD •minimum 1 game suspension depending on severity. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know as everyone needs to follow all the rules in place. No exceptions. Forest Lake Park:
SW 56 Ct. & SW 113 Ave. (33330) 7 1/2 acres includes: Playground, park benches, walking/bike trail, picnic tables, open play area, basketball & tennis courts. Jogging path 1/3 mile. Park Hours: Sunup-Sundown.
Stirling Palm Park:
NW 103 Ave. (33328) 2 acres includes: Playground, basketball court and open space. Park Hours: Sunup-Sundown.
Tamarind Park:
SW 115 Ave. & SW 55 Ct. (33330) 5 1/2 acres Includes: Playground, exercise trail, tennis & racquetball courts, park benches open play area and walking path 1/3 mile.. Park Hours: Sunup-Sundown.
Ted Ferone Park:
SW 106 Ave. & SW 51 St. (33328) 4 acres includes: Playground, park benches, exercise trail, picnic tables, open play area, tennis/racquetball and basketball courts. Walking path 1/3 mile. Park Hours: Sunup-Sundown.
