West Seattle Soccer Club (WSSC)

News Detail

May, 2021

Greetings Members:

Safety remains a priority for the West Seattle Soccer Club. With vaccinations well under way we must remain vigilant in keeping all our members safe.

WSSC follows the guidelines issued by the State Coronavirus Response, Washington Youth Soccer and Seattle Public Schools. King County currently is in Phase 3 allowing competitions.

  • Soccer players are allowed to remove facial coverings for competitions. Players that prefer to remain masked are encouraged to do so.
  • Facial coverings must be worn by athletes when training or when not actively competing in a game or match against another team or when on the bench waiting to play. Coaches and trainers must wear face coverings at all times. Spectators must wear facial coverings at all times and remain socially distanced.
  • Officials and referees are allowed remove their facial coverings if officiating requires them to run in the field of play.
  • No more than 150 persons at any field.
We very much appreciate your strict observance of these protocols. Compliance with these protocols is by the field owner (Parks Dept., School District, etc.). If the field owner finds WSSC in violation we, as a club, may lose privileges at these locations. WSSC reserves the right to exclude from any field persons who refuse to follow these protocols. View WSSC Covid-19 Action Plan for more information.
