Travel Soccer Program

At Twin County, our Travel Soccer Program is geared toward players seeking a more competitive soccer experience from the U8 and above age groups. Pre-travel and travel teams participate in leagues that match their skill level, competitiveness, and commitment, selecting from the numerous league options, including Ocean County Recreational (OCR), Monmouth-Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA), Eastern Development Program (EDP) Futures, EDP League, and USYS National League. All Twin County Soccer Pre-travel, Competitive Travel, and Elite Travel teams are coached by NJYS and USSF-licensed, professional trainers.

Payment plans and financial assistance available. Fees will be prorated for players entering in the Spring season.

Elite Travel Teams

Elite Travel teams begin at the U8 age group and compete in the Elite Development Program (EDP) league. Our Elite Travel program is designed for our most committed players seeking to compete at a more competitive level of play. Teams in the U8-U10 age group participate in the EDP Futures league, while teams U11 and up participate in the EDP League or USYS National League. Seasons run in the Fall and Spring and consist of 8-10 games throughout various NJ locations. All home games will be played at Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick, NJ. Teams are coached/trained a minimum of two times per week with a licensed, professional coach and participate in at least two tournaments throughout the seasonal year. Teams may elect to participate in additional tournaments, NJ State Cup, winter/summer leagues, and/or additional training.

Club Player Registration Fee: $375 per seasonal year

Estimated Team Dues: $650-$1,000 per player

Uniform: $100 per player 

 

Competitive Travel Teams

Competitive Travel teams begin at the U8 age group and compete in the Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA) league. Our Competitive Travel program is designed to provide players with a gradual increase in commitment along with an introduction to more competitive play. Seasons run in the Fall and Spring and consist of 10 games (5 home/5 away) mostly within Ocean and Monmouth County locations. All home games will be played at Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick, NJ. Teams are coached/trained a minimum of two times per week with a licensed, professional coach and are encouraged to participate in at least one tournament throughout the seasonal year. Teams may elect to participate in additional tournaments, MOSA Cup, winter/summer leagues and/or additional training.

Players may be selected for a Competitive travel team by attending club-wide tryouts held in late-Spring. Mid-year tryouts may also be made available for individual players looking for spots provided a team in the appropriate age group has an open roster spot.

Club Player Registration Fee: $375 per player

Estimated Team Dues: $550-$750 per player

Uniform: $100 per player 

 

Pre-Travel Teams

Pre-travel teams begin at the U8 age group and compete in the Ocean County Recreational (OCR) league. The Pre-travel seasonal year includes one 8-10 game season in the Fall and one 8-10 game season in the Spring within Ocean County locations. All home games will be played at Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick, NJ. Teams are coached/trained two times per week with a licensed, professional coach. Teams have the option to participate in recreational tournaments and winter training. Registration to participate on a Pre-travel team opens in late-Spring. Mid-year registration may also be made available for individual players looking for spots provided a team in the appropriate age group has an open roster spot.

Club Player Registration Fee: $220 per player

Estimated Team Dues: $400-$600 per player

Uniform: $100 per player



Club Player Registration Fee

As a a 501C(3) nonprofit organization, we take great pride in keeping our costs as low as possible for our membership while still providing the highest level of service and support. The Club Player Registration Fee guarantees the player's registration for the seasonal year (August 1 - July 31 of the following year) and covers several operational and other costs required to maintain a minimum standard of programming at the Club. The fee is non-refundable and payable directly to Twin County Soccer via your SportsConnect account and includes (but may not be limited to) the following:

  • Training Jerseys (2 per player)
  • Magnets (1-2 per family)
  • First Aid Kit/Ice Packs Fee (1 kit per team)
  • TeamSnap Application
  • Field Lining and Maintenance
  • Field and Referee Assignor Costs
  • Goal Maintenance and Equipment
  • NJYS Registration Fees
  • OCR Registration Fees
  • MOSA Registration Fees
  • EDP Registration Fees
  • Club Scholarships
  • Charitable Donations
  • Signage
  • Internet (Club WiFi service)
  • Pest Control
  • Inspection Fees
  • Accounting Costs
  • Payroll Services
  • Workers Compensation Insurance
  • Other Operational and/or Administrative Costs, as Needed
Players who are accepted a team for the Spring season will be charged a prorated Club Player Registration Fee.


Team Dues

Team dues are separate from the Club Player Registration Fee and are paid directly to the team (usually in installments) throughout the seasonal year. Team dues include all operational costs to run the team including training fees, referee fees, and any additional activities/events such as tournaments, summer/winter training, summer/winter leagues, etc. not covered by the Club Player Registration Fee. Programming and budgets for all team activities are managed exclusively at the team level by team managers and coaches at the guidance of the Twin County Soccer Executive Board. Your team manager will provide details on team dues including overall costs, payment methods, and due dates. Most teams participate in fundraising activities to offset and/or eliminate team dues.

Uniforms

The required uniform for all Pre-travel, Competitive, and Elite travel teams may be purchased through our supplier, www.soccer.com, and includes one (1) red jersey, one (1) white jersey, one (1) blue short, and one (1) pair of blue socks. Optional team gear, such as white socks, team bags, warm-up attire, etc. may be purchased separately. Accepted players will be provided an email to order their uniforms shortly after accepting their offer and completing their registration.

Fundraising

Twin County Soccer strongly encourages all teams and families to organize and participate in fundraising opportunities throughout the season to help offset or eliminate individual player expenses. Please contact your team manager or reach out to us at [email protected] for more information.
