Team Dissolution Policy

Occasionally, teams at Twin County Soccer Association (TCSA) reach an endpoint. When teams dissolve, there are questions about what to do with the money left, if any.

It is important to remind all that we are a public charity, and as such, we are subject to laws that non-charitable clubs are not.

To comply with these laws, when a team dissolves, any remaining funds will be divided among the players and may be applied toward other Twin County Soccer Association-related expenses or disbursed via gift card to a sports store that sells soccer equipment. The reason for this is that our charitable purpose is to "educate, promote, and govern the game of soccer among youth (under 19 years old)." We fulfill this purpose by ensuring funds continue to support player development.

In no uncertain terms do we refund money back to parents or donors.
