NJYS Minimum Coaching Education/License Guidelines
The Twin County Soccer Association (TCSA) believes youth players
deserve to have experienced, licensed, quality coaches, educated with a player-centered philosophy.
We believe that having minimum standards for club coaches will improve the player’s overall experience.
In turn, this will result in a better experience and product at all levels of the club.
The following are our minimum coaching education standards:
- To be eligible for the US Soccer National “D” License, a coach needs to complete at least two grassroots in-person courses, one of which must be the 11v11, and one of the four online grassroots licenses.
- If you have completed a NJYS State Certificate and a US Soccer National “E” License prior to January 1, 2016, you will be waived to the National “D” License.
