Become a Parent Coach – Build Skills, Community, and Memories

At Twin County Soccer, we’re more than just a club—we’re a community. Our parent volunteer coaches are the heart of our Recreation Team Program, ensuring every child has a team to join and a chance to play. Coaching isn’t just a way to support your child; it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their experience and strengthen our community.

Why Volunteer as a Coach?

  • Support Your Child: Be part of their soccer journey and create shared memories on the field.
  • Give Back to the Community: Help us keep soccer accessible and affordable for families in Ocean and Monmouth counties.
  • Make a Difference: Your time and energy create a positive, fun environment for kids to learn and grow.

No Experience? No Problem!

We’re here to support you every step of the way:

  • Training Resources: Access practice plans, drills, and tips to feel confident coaching.
  • Recreation Skills Club Sessions: Our professional coaches lead one ball mastery skills training session per week to guide your players.
  • One-on-One Support: Have a question? Need advice? We’re just an email or call away.

What You’ll Receive as a Volunteer Coach

  • Free Coach’s Gear: Look the part with a coach’s shirt and essential equipment for practices like cones and pinnies.
  • Practice Support: Access to fields and schedules via TeamSnap to keep things organized.
  • Micro Soccer Voucher: Volunteer coaches receive a free voucher for their child to participate in the Micro Soccer Program.

Opportunities to Further Your Coaching Education

We value our volunteer coaches and want to help those who are interested in growing their skills and knowledge of the game. If you’re looking to take your coaching experience to the next level, Twin County Soccer provides:

  • Encouragement and Support: Explore opportunities to learn more about the game and improve your coaching techniques.
  • USYS Grassroots Coaching Education: Coaches who remain with the Club are eligible for reimbursement of fees for completing USYS Grassroots Coaching courses.
  • Pathway to Competitive Coaching: Build a foundation to coach at higher levels within the Club, including travel and elite teams.

We’re committed to helping you succeed and providing the resources you need to grow as a coach and leader.

How Does Coaching Work?

  • Commit to leading one practice per week and coaching games on Saturdays.
  • Focus on creating a fun, positive environment for players of all skill levels.
  • Complete a background check, SafeSport certification, and Concussion Education as required by NJ Youth Soccer.

Together, We Build Stronger Communities

Parent volunteers ensure that every child who wants to play has a team. Your involvement helps us foster teamwork, confidence, and a love of soccer in our players—values that extend far beyond the field. By volunteering, you’re not just coaching; you’re shaping the future of our community.
