2023 Spring Season Snack Shack Volunteer FAQ

• How many shifts does my family need to volunteer? One 2 hour shift per family (2 hours total) will count towards your required DLL volunteer hours.(**if you have more than 1 child playing this season it will still only be 2 volunteer hours). 
•  Are all divisions required to complete snack shack volunteer hours? All Tee Ball, Farm, AA, AAA and Majors families are required to complete snack shack volunteer hours. 50/70, Juniors, and Challenger families are NOT. 
•  Can any member of my family volunteer their time? YES! Any member of the family 14 years of age or older can volunteer in the snack shack.
•  Can we use someone else to complete our family hours? Any family can come to an agreement with other family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles), family friends, or teens to complete their hours. Those teens can be your teen children, neighbors, family friends, nieces/nephews, etc. 
•  How long is each snack shack shift? Each shift is 2 hours long. 
•  What if I am the Manager or Assistant Coach, do I still have to do volunteer hours? Yes, this 2023 season ALL volunteers will be asked to complete volunteer hours in the Snack Shack. This includes all Managers, Assistant coaches and extra coaches. 
  
•  What if I have another volunteer role on the team? We know all volunteer roles on each team are important. The snack shack, in addition to being fun, is a vital money maker for the whole DLL organization. For that reason this season we have reduced the hours per family BUT ask that all volunteers, no matter your team role, devote 2 hours of your time to supporting DLL and the snack shack. 
•  Will there be training? Yes, training will be provided at the beginning of each shift for any new volunteers. 
•  How will hours be tracked? All volunteers will be required to sign up for available shifts, as well as indicate the age of the person completing the shifts for their family. A SignUp Genius will be available to pick up shifts before the season opens. Each volunteer will sign in upon arrival at the snack shack to have those hours tracked and credited.
