Prior to the start of a season, Adult Umpires MUST:
1) Register as an Umpire through the Sports Connect website Register as a Volunteer
2) Complete a ONE TIME Live Scan Fingerprinting - NOTE: DLL Umpires and Coaches/Managers need only complete a single Live Scan which will stay with them for the duration of their time as a volunteer through Davis Little League. Please print and take this form with you.
3) Abuse Awareness Training - Follow this link LINK to complete. You will need to create an account, then choose "Abuse Awareness for Adults" course and complete. Save your certification for proof of completion date. Annual requirement. *Spring 2026: must be completed after 2/20/25*
4) Complete Heads Up Concussion Training through the CDC Website CDC Heads Up Concussion Training . Save your certification for proof of completion date. Annual requirement. *Spring 2026: must be completed after 2/20/25*
5) Submit for a Background Check (MUST be registered in Sports Connect for Background Check to be submitted). This request will be sent to our 3rd party company JDP by the DLL Safety Officer via Sports Connect. Once it is sent, you will receive an email with instructions from JDP. A background check will be performed annually.
6) Complete an in-person umpire training session. Sessions take place prior to the start of each season.
