G12 Fire NPL

 

The U11 Fire had a very productive weekend at the CFC Columbus Day tournament. The girls played teams from NY, MA and CT in their group games finishing with 3 wins from 3 games and a place in the final. The first game saw the girls play New York Soccer Club and despite the girls being 3-0 down at half-time they ended up 7-3 winners at the end of the game. The Fire then played FC Stars who were a very physical team and ended up winning 4-1. On Sunday morning the girls knew that to make the final they had to win or tie and after a very close game with CFC the girls ended up winning 3-2. This put the Fire in the final against the other CFC team. The final was a very one sided affair and despite the score being 0-0 at half time the Fire ran out 4-0 winners to claim the CFC Tournament Champions for the second year in a row!
 

The Fire ran riot over the opposition this past weekend, only conceding one goal and remained the only undefeated team in the age group. They put on a show in the final against a strong team, who had not conceded a goal against any other club other than Crush. They went on to lift the trophy and deserved their victory.
