THE GSC AND INDOOR SOCCER
The Grafton Soccer Club is NOT OFFICIALLY INVOLVED with Indoor Soccer. Club officials are sometimes aware of these teams through informal discussion with coaches but that's about it!
Indoor Soccer teams are formed by coaches who deal with the Indoor Soccer facilities directly. The way this works is that coaches, on their OWN initiative, recruit teams, collect fees and place teams with indoor facilities. There are no standards or policies involved except the coaches and the facilities (which vary).
There are several facilities in this area that offer two sessions (Nov-Jan & Feb-Mar). One is Teamworks in Westboro. Most offer program starting at U8 in both boys/girls and co-ed groups at different skill levels. These are usually competitive in nature in that scores/standings are kept and there are playoffs involved. As such, and because there are boards involved on most fields, the level of play is a bit rougher than outdoors. If you are considering this option, please be prepared for a more challenging and physical environment than you may be used to.
If you are interested, we suggest you start with your current coach or ask other parents if they know of any teams being formed. You can also ask the facilities if they know if Grafton teams have registered. Some also have OPEN teams that will be formed if enough players are interested. Better yet, start your own team!
