Overview
The Grafton Soccer Club strives to provide a positive soccer experience for all players who participate in our program each year. Each season our volunteers must plan early to form teams, coordinate with the travel league, secure playing fields, and plan for uniforms and equipment needs. Timely registration is, therefore, critical to our success.

Registration Process
Registration will be conducted on-line on the GSC web site.  A registration must be completed for each child that is being registered. Any questions regarding registration should be directed to the club Registrar.

Proof of Age
Proof of age must be provided upon request at the discretion of the GSC Registrar. Failure to provide proof of age when requested may result in the player not being allowed to play.

Registration Time-line
Registration for the upcoming soccer season occurs during the prior season. Registration for the Spring season typically occurs from November through December of the previous year and registration for the Fall season typically occurs from May through June. Shortly after the player registration deadline, we are faced with league registration deadlines (age groups U10 and up) and roster size limits and restrictions. At this time we must identify the number of teams that we will create and in most cases the number of players that can register. Therefore, it is imperative that players register on time.

Registration Deadline
During each registration period, a deadline for registration will be set. Players registering after the prescribed deadline may be charged a late fee at the discretion of the GSC Board of Directors (BOD). Players who register after the deadline may be placed on a waiting list if teams are full or assigned to a team if there is room available in his/her age group. Late registrants cannot be guaranteed placement on a team. Registration may close by age group after the deadline without further notice so be sure to register early.

Registration Fees \ Late Fees
The registration and late fees are set each season by the GSC BOD and are posted on the GSC website. Players that register after the registration deadline must pay a non-refundable late registration fee if applicable. The late fee cannot be waived without approval by the Registrar.

Scholarships
The GSC welcomes all the children of Grafton. Scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the registration or uniform fees. Our goal is to have kids play soccer regardless of financial ability to do so. To request a scholarship please contact the GSC Registrar or any other board member.

Refunds and Credits
Refunds will NOT be issued, however, a credit towards future registrations may be given if a player decides not to play for the registered season. Any registration credit must be requested from the Registrar prior to the announcements of teams. After teams are announced, a credit will not be issued except for injury to the player which prevents the player from participating in at least half the games or any other similar situation at the discretion of the Registrar. The MYSA insurance fee of $11 will be deducted from all credits if the fee has already been paid by the GSC to MYSA. Late fees will not be credited.

Waiting List
Once the registration deadline has passed all late registrants may be placed on a waiting list for his/her age group. Each age group coordinator will work with the Registrar to manage the waiting list for their group. The goal will be to place as many wait-listed children as possible, although players who register late cannot be guaranteed placement on a GSC team. Our mission is to ensure a great soccer experience for ALL the children in the program, so we have placed limits on the number of players per team (age-group dependent). In addition, travel teams have roster limits that cannot be exceeded and once the number of teams have been set the number of available spots cannot change. Once these limits have been reached, no additional players can be accepted and registrations will close without further notice. In addition, once the season starts there are league requirements that make it difficult to process late registrations/additions so late additions after the season starts are solely at the discretion of the Registrar and age group coordinators.
