Job Description: Social Media & Content Creator (Part-Time)
Organization: Northwest Washington Little League (NWLL)
Location: Northwest Washington, D.C. (On-site at fields/events)
Duration: Mid-February – Mid-June
Compensation: $1,000 stipend (paid in four equal installments)
Position Overview

Are you a social media enthusiast looking to build a professional portfolio? Northwest Washington Little League is seeking a creative and energetic Social Media and Content Creator to help tell the story of our season! This role is ideal for a student, a social media enthusiast, or someone looking to build a digital marketing portfolio. This isn't just about posting—it's about storytelling, brand building, and gaining real-world marketing experience while staying connected to the community.
What You’ll Do (And Add to Your Resume):
- Own the Feed: Take full creative control of our Instagram and Facebook channels using Reels, Stories, and trending audio to drive community engagement.
- Content Creation: Attend games and events to capture high-quality photos and videos that showcase the excitement of the league.
- Digital Strategy: Apply your knowledge of current trends to expand our reach and keep our website fresh with the latest news.
- Community Management: Network with parents and coaches to curate a "community-sourced" image library.
Qualifications
- Social Media Savvy: Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook features (Stories, Reels, etc.) and current digital trends is required.
- Equipment: Must have access to a smartphone with a high-quality camera.
- Experience: No prior formal job experience is required—we value passion and reliability!
- Technical Skills: Basic photo-editing skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with HTML is not required, but would be considered an asset.
- Familiar with Canva and or Adobe Express preferred
- Communication: Comfortable approaching parents and volunteers to request content and information.
Schedule & Pay
- Commitment: Part-time, flexible hours based on the league schedule (mid-February through mid-June).
- Payment: A flat stipend of $1,000, distributed in four equal payments throughout the season.
