Background: The NWLL Majors Division is the highest level of play in our traditional Little League program. We limit Majors to 11 and 12 year old players. All 12 year-olds must play in our Majors Division. *We also allow some 10 year old players who tryout and have a recommendation from the Majors Commissioner, with approval from the AAA coach(es).

In the fall seasons, players who are league-age 12 play in the Intermediate Division (50-70) to prepare them for the jump to Juniors the following spring. This also clears roster space for players playing up from AAA, who are preparing for the following spring."

Players have “tryouts/assessments” for the spring season in late February or early March and are drafted onto teams, with every effort made to distribute teams evenly and ensure that we have balanced competition. No matter how a player performs in the tryout, he/she is placed on a team. Tryouts/assessments are held generally indoor facilities in the area.

Games are called by umpires, and formal standings are kept. Majors games are generally well-played as players are developing accurate pitching, skillful fielding, solid hitting, and smart base-running. Sportsmanship, fair play, honesty, and integrity are integrated with fun and team spirit.

Each spring, teams elect three to five players (voted by their teammates) to the In-Season All-Star game traditionally played on Memorial Day. Playoffs commence in the first two weeks in June, with the winner receiving a championship trophy.
