2023 Skills Assessment Day

The purpose of the Skills Assessment Day is for coaches and League officials to assess players’ abilities and support the creation of balanced, competitive teams across divisions. There is a new Little League International rule that requires attendance.  Please email the Commissioners if you need to attend a make up session, the first of which will be held on March 5 at noon at Stoddert.

When: Saturday, March 4th  (You will be emailed with a specific time slot)·
What to Expect: The League organizes a series of brief drills, each of which pertains to a critical baseball skill (i.e., fielding, throwing, batting, sprinting, and pitching). Commissioners observe players as they complete the drills and rate each player, assessing the player’s abilities. Parents and other guests/siblings are not permitted on the field but should wait nearby to the fields. Players must leave with a parent/guardian and may leave after their work out concludes.·

What to Bring:  Baseball glove, athletic shoes (cleats if outside/sneakers if inside), a batting helmet, water bottle with player's name clearly labeled.  DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN BATS. Bats that players bring will be placed in the pool of bats for general use. NWLL is not responsible for players’ bats that are brought to tryouts.
