Parent Code of Conduct

Parent Code of Conduct

As the parent or guardian of a Wildcats Junior football or cheer participant, I hereby pledge to encourage and support our Wildcats children by adhering to the following Parent Code of Conduct.

  1. I will always encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support of all coaches, players, and officials at every sports event, including practices. I will remember that in sports, everyone makes mistakes, including coaches and referees.

  2. I will place the emotional and physical well being of our Wildcats youth ahead of a personal desire to win.

  3. I will support the coaches and officials working with our Wildcats youth, and promote a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

  4. I will make every effort to ensure that my child arrives on time to all practices and games. I understand that tardiness impacts the entire team and may affect my child's playing time.

  5. I will notify the coach if my child will be late to a scheduled event, including practice.

  6. I will notify the coaching staff if my child will miss a scheduled event due to illness or other family/school obligation.

  7. I understand that excused absences include: mandatory school function, illness, and serious injury. Players who have minor, non-debilitating injuries must attend practice to be eligible to play in that week's game, even if such injury prohibits participation in practice.

  8. I will demand a sports environment for our Wildcats youth that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events.

  9. I will remember that Wildcats Junior football is a game for children, not adults. I will do my best to make Wildcats Junior football and cheer fun for our Wildcats youth.

  10. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, and officials with respect, regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.

  11. I will help my child enjoy the Wildcats Junior football experience by adhering to the values listed here and in the PCA Parent Pledge.

  12. I will volunteer for the Wildcats Junior program when possible.

  13. I understand that only players and coaches will be allowed on field, and that I will leave the coaching to the coaches.

  14. I understand that all I, as a player/coach/volunteer/parent member of WCJFA represent my self, my family, my team, the WCJFA program, and my entire community of the Snoqualmie Valley, and will act in accordance with the values of WCJFA and the Snoqualmie Valley School District.

  15. I will demonstrate Wildcats PRIDE (Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, Encouragement) at all times, both on and off the field.

  16. I will set an example in personal conduct at all times, both on and off the field.

I understand that violation of this Code of Conduct will not be tolerated and that GEJFA and/or WCJFA will take appropriate action to remedy violations. Any violation of GEJFA or WCJFA rules and regulations is subject to disciplinary action including but not limited to verbal warnings, suspensions, or expulsion.
