Congratulations to Aidan Fenton, the recipient of the Portland Soccer Club's annual Bill Peterson Memorial Scholarship Award for 2023.  Aidan is a 2023 Graduate and a former, long-time member of the Portland Soccer Club's Youth and Travel programs, where he played on the same team until entering High School.   Aidan has been a regular member of the program's referee corps for many years, including a stretch during the uncertainty of the recent Covid-19 pandemic when he refereed youth soccer games with his father in town for free.   Aidan's father donated his time to the program as a coach and serves as a referee, inspiring Aiden to follow a similar path at an early age.  Giving back to the community is a motivation Aidan credits having acquired during his years playing and refereeing for PSC, and he is committed to continuing his involvement with Portland's soccer-playing youths in the future.  Aidan recently donated his time to a summer youth soccer camp in town, where he cites the opportunity to work with kids who currently walk in the same shoes as he once did as one of his favorite soccer-related experiences.  On June 11, 2023 PSC President Chad Wilson presented Aidan with the $500 Scholarship during a recent ceremony at the Portland Recreation Complex, pictured below.
