NCAA Division I Proposal No. 2018-93 has been adopted and sets the first date for incoming and outgoing communications with a prospective student-athlete to June 15 after their sophomore year and August 1 prior to the junior year as the first date for official and unofficial visits. Another NCAA Proposal was adopted that removed the language related to verbal offers. However verbal offers would effectively be precluded prior to June 15 after the sophomore year, which is the first opportunity to have recruiting communications with a prospective student-athlete, their family or coaches. These policies go into effect May 1, 2019.

McLean Youth Soccer has a strong history of providing assistance to players who wish to play soccer in college. In addition to the College Soccer Information Night (held in the spring preseason), MYS hosts college ID camps and scrimmages.
