McLean Youth Soccer saw 72 of its former female ECNL players compete in collegiate soccer during the 2019 season, playing for a total of 54 different teams across 25 different NCAA conferences (see the table below for a complete list of players and schools). Conference play and postseason tournaments wrapped up the weekend of Nov. 9-10 and a total of 19 players from 14 schools will continue competing in the upcoming NCAA Division 1 and Division 3 Championships.
Taken as a group, McLean players made an impressive contribution to college soccer in 2019: 72 McLean alumni played in a total of 940 games, starting 585 of those matches, scoring 62 goals (20 of them game winners) and adding 76 assists. Six of the teams with MYS players on their roster won their Conference title (For D1 that included Brown, Hofstra, North Carolina, and Penn State, and for D3 that included Amherst and John Hopkins). Several schools that did not claim Conference titles will still advance to the D1 or D3 NCAA postseason tournament due to the strength of their records and the competitiveness of their Leagues (these include: Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Tufts, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin).
