2025 Evaluation information has not been finalized.  When it is, it will be posted here.  It will also be emailed within a few days of registration closure.  For historical context, the 2024 information can be seen below.

2024 EVALUATION INFORMATION

***Baseball and softball evaluations have been moved to 1/21/24 due to temperature forecast.   IN-PERSON UNIFORM FITTING IS STILL 1/20/24 AT THE MIDWAY COMMUNITY BUILDING 10:00AM - 2:00PM.  We will update you on any evaluations changes due to weather or field conditions as soon as we can.  Our backup / rain makeup dates are 1/27/24 and 1/28/24.  Thank you for your patience and understanding that we can't control the weather.***

2024 Spring Baseball and Softball Evaluations are at Midway Park 

Baseball / Softball Evaluations:

Recreation baseball/softball evaluations will be held outside (please dress accordingly!) on January 21, 2024. Times and field locations will be posted below. 

For on-field evaluations, players will be run through a series of basic drills in front of their age group coaches and Midway board members so that skill level can be determined for the player draft held in February. The evaluation is not meant to cause any player anxiety/nervousness. It is a Forsyth County requirement to ensure that teams are distributed fairly and competitively.  We simply ask that all players do their best!

Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to your evaluation time and be sure that you bring all required gear / proper clothing for the weather. 

UNIFORM SIZING - RAIN OR SHINE

Uniform sizing can be done online via a link sent to registrants the week after registration closes or in-person on 1/20/24 at Midway Park Community Building.  Times to be announced closer to date.  

IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS FIRST THING IN THE MORNING TO DETERMINE IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES TO THE EVALUATION SCHEDULE!!

The temperature forecast for 1/20 is awful, so we have rescheduled for 1/21.  IN-PERSON UNIFORM FITTINGS ARE STILL CHEDULED FOR 1/20/24 AT THE MIDWAY PARK COMMUNITY BUILDING FROM 10:00AM - 2:00PM.  Any additional evaluations rescheduling updates will be posted here and an email will be sent out.

Please see below for your son or daughter’s evaluation time. Please try your best to attend your scheduled time slot based on your last name.  If a player is not able to be at evals during their timeframe, they may come during any timeframe for their age group.  Players who cannot make evaluations will still be placed on a team through a random process.

In-person uniform sizing will take place 1/20 at the Midway Park Community Building from 10am - 2pm, even if evaluations are re-scheduled due to weather.  There is additional uniform sizing and weather info below.

BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL UNIFORM SIZING: Uniform sizing can be done one of two ways...In-person or online. 

In-person uniform fittings are 1/20/24 (even if evals are moved due to weather) at the Midway Park Community Building (by upper turf field) from 10:00am – 2:00pm.  If you prefer to just complete the sizing online, an email was sent 1/13/24, 1/17/24, and 1/19/24 with the sizing links. 

WEATHER: In the event we need to reschedule due to weather, we will attempt evaluations 1/27/24 as a backup and 1/28/24 as a secondary backup.  Please check back here for any further updates as the evaluation date gets closer.  We will also send out an email if there are any changes. 

IMPORTANT EVAL NOTES:

-       To be eligible for majors, a player must be at evaluations.

-       Any players who evaluate high enough in evaluations to be on a majors team and that are selected for a majors team must play on a majors team.
