PLAYER EVALUATIONS

2023 EVALUATION INFORMATION

***Baseball and softball evaluations will be 1/21/23.   We will update you on any changes due to weather or field conditions as soon as we can.  Our backup / rain makeup dates are 1/22/23 and 1/28/23.  Thank you for your patience and understanding that we can't control the weather.***

2023 Spring Baseball and Softball Evaluations are at Midway Park 

Baseball / Softball Evaluations:

Recreation baseball/softball evaluations will be held outside (please dress accordingly!) on January 21, 2023. Times and field locations will be posted below. 

For on-field evaluations, players will be run through a series of basic drills in front of their age group coaches and Midway board members so that skill level can be determined for the player draft held in February. The evaluation is not meant to cause any player anxiety/nervousness. It is a Forsyth County requirement to ensure that teams are distributed fairly and competitively.  We simply ask that all players do their best!

Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to your evaluation time and be sure that you bring all required gear / proper clothing for the weather. 

UNIFORM SIZING - RAIN OR SHINE

Uniform sizing can be done online via a link sent to registrants the week after registration closes or in-person on 1/21/23 at Fowler Park Rec Center.  Times to be announced closer to date.  

IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS FIRST THING SATURDAY MORNING TO DETERMINE IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES TO THE EVALUATION SCHEDULE!!

- If we are forced to delay or cancel on 1/21 due to weather, we will attempt to reschedule for 1/22 or 1/28.

- 7U/8U & 9U/10U Baseball are separate combined age groups this year (8U & 10U).  Major and Minor classifications and rules will be in place for these age groups. 

- 7U/8U & 9U/10U Major/Minor Evaluations will be on 1/21/23 like the other age groups.
