The goal of the Midway Athletic Club is to provide a fun and safe environment for players to learn the fundamentals of baseball. We thank you for your interest in participating!
Player Eligibility:
Participation is open to any registered player whose grouping is determined by their age on May 1, 2024. For example, a player who turns 9 before May 1, 2024 will be in the 9U age grouping. All decisions regarding whether a player may ‘play up’ into a higher age division is at the discretion of the Baseball Director.
Players must be 5 years of age prior to September 1, 2024 in order to be eligible to play in the 2024 season in 5U.
Every child who registers will be placed on a team and a player evaluation and draft is held for age groups 6U and above.
Equipment:
All players are required to provide their own cleats, glove, helmet and bat. Uniforms will be furnished by Midway Athletic Club and fittings will be done during the Player Evaluations.
Coaching:
Any volunteers interested in coaching a team (including returning coaches - head coaches or assistants) should sign up through the registration page.
Once selected, coaches will then complete a Forsyth County Background Check Form at the player drafts and complete the NYSCA Coaching Certification online.
All coach selections will be performed by the Midway Athletic Club Board once registration has closed (except for 7/8U Major/Minor, which could follow a different timeline).

NYSCA Coaches Certification
A mandatory Baseball Coaches Meeting will be held in March. The meeting will be held in the Central Park Recreation Center Banquet Room.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss league rules, procedures, post-season tournaments and more.
A representative from each team must attend the meeting to receive their team’s preseason and regular schedules.
Practice / Games:
Practices will begin mid February and games will begin mid March.
THERE ARE NO COUNTY PRESEASON GAMES THIS YEAR FOR BASEBALL. Practice and game schedules will be distributed at the coaches meeting in mid March.
There will be a Post Season Tournament at the end of May.
