FREDERICK NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE HONORS LONGTIME VOLUNTEER DANNY MILLER WITH FIELD DEDICATION
Frederick, MD – Frederick National Little League is proud to announce the dedication of the field at Staley Stadium in honor of Danny Miller, a cherished volunteer who has dedicated over 40 years of service to the league as both a coach and a field manager.
The field will now be known as Danny Miller Field at Staley Stadium, celebrating Danny's decades of commitment to the community, his exceptional coaching, and his tireless efforts to maintain and improve the playing grounds. Danny’s influence on the league and its players has left an indelible mark on Frederick National Little League.
"We are delighted to honor Danny Miller with this dedication," said league president Gerry Stephens. "Danny's contributions have shaped our league and community, and naming the field after him is a fitting tribute to his legacy."
The unveiling of the new name took place during the Opening Day festivities on April 13, 2024, with Danny's family, friends, former players and the 2024 league families/participants in attendance.
“It is a tremendous honor to have the Frederick National Little League field named after myself. I have enjoyed volunteering for over 40 years and giving young people a chance to learn the game of baseball and play on a beautiful field. I truly appreciate the board of directors of Frederick National Little League for doing this,” shared Danny Miller.
Danny Miller Field at Staley Stadium will continue to serve as a place for players and families to gather and enjoy the game of baseball, with the spirit and dedication of Danny Miller inspiring everyone who steps onto the field.
