Winterball welcomes players who will be between Little League ages 4-13 for the upcoming Spring Season in 2025. This presents an excellent chance for your child to enhance their baseball skills in a relaxed and almost non-competitive setting. Practices and games are part of the program, yet no scores are tallied, and winning is not the focus. Winterball provides a top-notch Little League baseball experience minus the typical season pressures. It encourages players to explore various positions, learn from new coaches and peers, stay involved with the game they love in the off-season and it’s a perfect opportunity to “play-up” and learn about the next level of play.

Winterball program is designed to focus on training and skill development, offering players a chance to elevate their gameplay and get ready for progression to more advanced divisions such as Majors and Intermediate.

Once you determine your child's CURRENT 2024 Little League Age, you can enroll them in the Winterball division that aligns with their age group to boost their skills for the upcoming Spring 2025 season.

For instance, if your child is Little League Age 8 now, by Spring 2025, they will be Little League Age 9 and participating in our Minor Division. Winterball season serves as an ideal preparation period for them to gear up for playing in the Minor Division, as the main emphasis is on training and skill development for Spring 2025.

Do we need to reside within WCALL Boundaries?

Teams will have practice sessions at Cortez Park once or twice a week, depending on the division. Players will receive coaching from WCALL coaches. It is expected that players commit to 1-2 practice sessions a week, with the frequency varying by division. Team managers will schedule practice days and times based on field availability and personal schedules. The specific practice days will be determined after players have been assigned to a team.

Games are scheduled for Saturdays over 10 consecutive weeks, starting in September and finishing before Thanksgiving. The matches will take place at Cortez Park and other nearby District 19 home fields, so be ready to travel as games may be held against and at other leagues, regardless of your player's division.

Registration fees for all divisions are $100, includes a jersey and hat. All payments must be made online only.

While there is no snack bar fee, we highly recommend that all families participate by volunteering their time to our league. It's a wonderful opportunity to contribute to our community.

Every player must complete the form and register online. Each child must be registered individually. There will be additional Medical forms required and must be filled out by the first practice, you will hear more information once placed in a team.
