Your support is essential! Our snack bar is run by volunteers, and the funds help keep registration fees low, improve player experience, maintain facilities, and enhance our WCALL community. Here are the key points for all WCALL families:

Work Requirement

Every volunteer is required to fulfill two shifts of 2.5 hours each during their assigned team month, amounting to a total of 5 hours. You have the flexibility to select the specific days and times within your assigned month. Additionally, you have the option to bring in two individuals to share one shift together. Once you complete the 5-hour work requirement, a $150 refund for the Snack Bar Deposit will be issued by our treasurer.

Opt-Out Parents

Parents must notify their team mom if they choose to opt out of working at the snack bar. This means they will forfeit their refund. For budgeting and scheduling purposes, we need this information by February 14th.

This is your last chance to earn back the deposit.

Each family is required to complete 2 volunteer shifts in order to receive the $100 deposit refund. If your family does not plan to volunteer and would like to forgo your deposit, please notify your team mom immediately so we can plan ahead for additional coverage.

SPRING SEASON

We value your feedback! This year, we aim to create a more organized and flexible Snack Bar System to enhance community spirit and accommodate families' schedules. We will use Sign Up Genius, assigning each division a month to volunteer for shifts, balancing workload and encouraging family participation. A monthly schedule allows parents to choose convenient times for involvement.

Schedule Changes (Late, No Show)

Be aware that changes to the Game Schedule will also affect the Snack Bar Schedule. If your shift is canceled due to weather, you will need to sign up for a new shift, as no credit will be provided for inclement weather. The Concession Manager will get in touch with those impacted to arrange a new schedule. If you are running late or unable to make your shift, please notify the Concession Manager immediately.

REFUND QUESTIONS

Refund checks will be issued one week after completing all 5 work hours and can be collected at the Snack Bar. Checks will only be distributed to the parents of each player. For any questions regarding refunds, please reach out to our Treasurer directly.

Positions and Age Requirements

Available positions per shift include Grill (cook), Runner (delivering food orders), and Cashier (taking orders). Individuals aged 16 and over can work as either a cashier or food runner, while those 18 and older are required to operate the grill.

Arriving for Your Shift

Please arrive on time for your shift, sign in, and stay until the next shift is ready to take over, if applicable. We have specific instructions for each role, and you won't be alone; a Board Member on Duty will be present to assist and guide you.

We offer convenience & savings on Team Combos! Place your order at the beginning of the game and indicate a desired pick-up time. If there are any changes to the scheduled pick-up, kindly provide a 15-minute notice. Parents can either collect their complete orders or direct players to go straight to the snack bar window after their game.
