Patriot Community Sports will be offering spring lacrosse for both boy and girls ages 9-13!!

 Expected age groups for Spring 2015: (teams will be decided based on registration #’s)

·         U9 for 2nd/3rd grades*

·         U11 for 4th/5th grades

·         U13 for 6th/7th grades

 Practice/Games:

·         2x per week practice with one game on the weekend

You said lacrosse would start with PCS teams. What ages are included with this? We are looking at U11 and U13 boys and girls teams. *With enough interest we could also have a U9 team. These PCS teams are open to anyone in the community, so you do not have to be a Pisgah student to participate.

Where will all of these teams play? The PCS teams will play in the Newtown Feeder League, with both games and practices at Newtown Park. The PAC and even the East Campus field may also help supplement some of the needs of these teams on occasion. 

When is the PCS lacrosse season?  PCS Season is expected to start the end of Feb. 2015 with the first game the week of March 2nd.

I know lacrosse is a growing sport and my child seems interested, but we have never seen the game played and don’t know much about it. Will there be camps or clinics or opportunities to learn more about the game? Yes! Patriot Community Sports will offer Preseason training in Oct., Nov., and December that will include skills training, and rules of the game.  Children and parents are invited to come and learn more about the game.

 What is the process for getting on one of these PCS teams? Registration will be available in the late fall on the PCS website.  Pricing will be based on league fees and uniforms. With the exception of goalies, all players are to provide their own pads and equipment. Goalie gear is provided to the team by the league.
