For Winter 2014 Basketball, Patriot Community Sports will offer the following options:

PCS Feeder 7/8 Skills Clinic (3rd grade welcome too)  PRICE: $120  
Our youngest age division will participate in a "skills" league we have created that meets only on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-3:30pm in the Drummond Gym starting Sunday Nov. 9, 2014.  No clinics on Sunday Nov. 21, Dec. 21, 28, Jan 4
The purpose of this clinic is to introduce these young student athletes to the game of basketball through competitive FUNdamental basketball drills and competitive individual and team challenges. We believe that learning  to play the game of basketball happens over years of maturity. So at such a young we want to focus on the basic fundamentals to the game while emphasizing good sportsmanship, fun competition, and teamwork. Fundamentals Taught: -  Triple Threat & Defensive Stances and Footwork -  Shooting -  Passing & Catching -  Dribbling -  2 person & 3 person play Love your teammates-Love Competition-Love the Game
These sessions will work on fundamental skills and teach game play in a way that will benefit both experienced and non-experienced players, using a technique known as "On-Court Coaching."  All participants will still be placed on a team, they will still have uniforms, coaches, and play games!  Coach Harmon will be present during each session to oversee the program and provide instruction and coaching to both players and parent volunteer coaches. Registration includes 7 sessions and uniform.  
3rd grade players are welcome to sign up for this league as well.

PCS Feeder Teams 3rd through 8th Grade - PRICE: $200  Saturday,  Boys and Girls Divisions
We have joined a Saturday league through Crabapple First Baptist Church; practices will be at Mount Pisgah Christian School during the week and games are played away on Saturdays.  Age divisions include 9&10, 11&12, 13-15.  Games are played away against other church and school teams; the 7&8 and 9&10 divisions will play their games at Kings Ridge Christian School; the 11&12 and 13-15 divisions will play games at Crabapple First Baptist Church.  Age is determined by how old your child is as of February 15, 2015
Games dates are 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7   

PCS Feeder 6th grade TRAVEL- PRICE: $200   Sundays Only, Boys and Girls Divisions
10 game schedule starting Sunday Nov. 16th. 
Game dates are Nov. 16 & 23, Dec. 7, 14 & 21, Jan. 4, 11, 18 & 25.  Each team will have one date with 2 games to make 10 regular season games.  Tournament dates are: Feb. 1 (limited schedule due to Super Bowl), 8 & 15.

COACHES NEEDED!!  All teams rely upon volunteer coaches so if you are interested, please consider volunteering to coach a team.  A coaching clinic will be held prior to the start of the season which will provide you with the resources you need to get started.  All volunteer coaches must have a background screening on file.  When you register your child,you can indicate your willingness to coach during that process.  A link to our background screening form will be included in your emailed confirmation of registration. Thank you for considering this wonderful opportunity to serve and to be involved in the lives of our young athletes
