About Us

Holden Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization that offers all children, ages four through 18, the opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer and improve their skills.

Our main mission is to foster a passion for soccer in children.  We aim to accomplish this by creating an enjoyable, supportive, and highly productive environment at practices and games.  At practices we use fun activities that maximize repetitions of key skills, and we provide ample time for scrimmaging.  

We look to teach by reinforcing the positive versus calling out the negative.  At games, we provide lots of playing time for all players, and we allow the players to play with minimal instruction, so that they can feel empowered to make their own decisions and take risks on the field.

By providing a positive experience and helping kids develop their skills, we hope to encourage kids to keep playing and enjoying soccer–a game that provides a lot of exercise, independent thinking, mental and physical challenges, collaboration and socialization, and–most importantly–fun!
