Volunteers are the lifeblood of any local youth sports organization. There are many reasons to volunteer but the #1 reason for Wilkes-Barre City Little League is that doing so keeps the game alive for the children of our city. The more volunteers we have, the stronger our league is while building deeper ties within our community. Little League baseball has been part of Wilkes-Barre for 75 years. For those of us who played baseball (and softball) as children, our parents, grandparents, and other family members volunteered their time and energy so that we would have the opportunity to play this great game. Now it is our turn to repay that commitment to our children. Please consider volunteering, whether it be as coach, groundskeeper, or board member.

Any returning volunteers who have previously submitted a Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check and a Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification and are having difficulty retrieving these documents, may email the league at
[email protected] and request copies of these documents. If we can retrieve them from a previous volunteer application, we will send them to you so you may include them in your current volunteer application. If we cannot, you will have to reapply for the background checks, as only the certificates themselves are acceptable (receipts are not).

If you are selected as a manager or assistant (game) coach, you will be refunded one (1) concession stand fee at the end of the season without the requirement of having an adult work the stand on behalf of your (or one of your) player.
