**The following information applies to spring baseball.

Players at the Tee Ball, Minor - Coach Pitch, Minor - Player Pitch, or Junior levels will not be required to tryout out for their level or for a team.

There are typically a few practices held at the end of March for all players at the Minor - Player Pitch level, so that coaches may evaluate and work with the players as a group. Our goal is to create balanced teams to give our players the greatest chance to enjoy the game, improve their baseball skills, and grow as individuals.

There may be tryouts for players who are new to the Major (Little League) level, depending on the number of players who register, as Little League's rules govern the minimum and maximum number of players who can be on a team at this level. The rules are stricter and more definitive at the Major level than the other levels for which the league fields teams. If there are tryouts and a player is not selected to play at the Major level, they will be assigned to a Minor - Player Pitch team.

There may be tryouts for players who are league age 13-14 and register for the Senior level so that coaches may evaluate these players' readiness for the highest level of baseball that Little League offers. We want to ensure that all players have the chance to improve their skills in an environment that allows for growth and a chance for success. Allowing players to play at a level in which they are overwhelmed and cannot succeed is detrimental to their athletic and personal development. These players are not guaranteed a roster spot on a Senior-level team but a guaranteed a roster spot on a Junior-level team.
