Player Expectations
This is a learning league. Which means ALL skill levels are given the same opportunity to learn. It is NOT about winning and losing. It is NOT about who scored or how many goals an individual player had. It is NOT about starting each game or playing every minute. It is NOT about playing one position and being a ball hog.
However, it is all about having FUN. It is about learning the skills of field hockey - passing, pulling right, shooting. It is about ENCOURAGING your teammates. It is about CHEERING FOR EVERYONE and taking turns sitting out. It is about RESPECTING your coaches. It is about learning to HONOR OFFICIALS and the calls they make. It is about falling in love with a sport that offers so much on and off the field.
Our league reserves the right if any player has any poor sportsmanship or misconduct of any kind that player will be asked to sit out of the remainder of the practice or game.

Why I want to coach youth field hockey
I am so honored to be part of the Etown Youth Field Hockey coaching staff. RAA and Etown youth sports were an important part of my life, as well as my parents and brother. I truly grew up on the RAA fields and enjoyed every minute of it. When I discovered field hockey at age 8, youth programs were not established, meaning I was on my own to grow as a player. I am beyond excited to be part of growing the love of this great game with so many young athletes.
