Civitan will once again offer an OPEN LEAGUE for select grade divisions
in addition to our traditional RECREATIONAL LEAGUE.
Space is limited so sign up early!

Recreational League Basketball
This is the traditional rec program Civitan has offered for years.
Players are evaluated and assigned to teams through a coach draft.
If your child needs placement on a team, this is the program for them.

Player Fee: $172 - includes player's uniform

Boy's division for 1^st-8^th grades*
Girl's division for 1^st-9^th grades*
Division based on player's grade for the 2024-25 school year.**

Open League Basketball
Started in 2023, hoping to grow in 2024! This is a "bring your own team" program.
Players in this league MUST already be committed to a team.

Player Fees: $180

Boy's division for 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th & 6^th grades*
Girl's division for 5^th-6^th grades combined*
Division based on player's grade for the 2024-25 school year.**

4 team minimum - 8 team maximum per grade division
Maximum of 10 players per team
Open teams will provide their own uniforms
Team names & uniform design MUST be approved by Civitan.
Practice times will be offered to open teams.
Open league rosters must be submitted to Michael Raper by 9/30.


*Civitan reserves the right to merge divisions in leagues to ensure player placement.*
**Failure to register for the correct league and/or grade division could result
in the cancellation of the player's registration and/or additional fees.**


Important Tentative Dates (Rec & Open Leagues): time/location TBA
Week of 10/14 - MANDATORY player evaluations for ALL Rec League players
No evaluations required for OPEN League players
10/30 MANDTORY Coach meeting for both leagues
11/2 Practices begin for both leagues
11/23 Games begin for both leagues


Interested in coaching? Be sure to complete the coaching application online.
Civitan is a volunteer organization, and we need parents who are interested
in sharing their knowledge and love of the game with the youth in our community.
Coaches are required to submit to and pass a background check with the
City of Hendersonville-Parks Dept, hold a current NAYS basketball
coaching certificate and be CPR/AED trained.
