Softball Coach Pitch: League Ages 7 & 8 – Eligible Birthdays 1/1/2017 – 12/31/2018
The goal of this division is to have fun while continuing to focus on proper fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting, base-running and fielding. This level introduces athletes to hitting a pitched ball while continuing to emphasize fun and steady skill development. Batters get up to 5 chances to hit off a pitch from a coach. The teams play with an 11-inch ball. Volunteer coaches umpire the games and score is kept.
Richmond Little League’s Coach Pitch Division prioritizes participation, learning, and enjoyment, ensuring every player takes the field, builds skills, and gains confidence as they continue their softball journey.
