The Minors Division at Richmond Little League is designed for players little league ages 9 and 10 who are ready to take the next step in their baseball development. At this level, players pitch to one another, introducing a more competitive and authentic baseball experience while still maintaining a strong emphasis on instruction, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Players continue refining core skills—throwing accuracy, fielding fundamentals, consistent hitting, and smart base running—while also learning and improving the responsibilities of pitching and catching. Coaches focus on teaching situational awareness, defensive positioning, and the strategic elements of the game, all within a positive, supportive environment.

Games feature standard baseball rules with age-appropriate adjustments to ensure safety, fairness, and ample opportunities for learning. All players receive meaningful playing time, experience multiple positions, and are encouraged to grow in confidence and leadership on the field.

The Minors Division prepares athletes for the full regulations and increased competition of the 50/70 Intermediate Division, making it an exciting and essential step in the Richmond Little League baseball pathway.
