Our SPRING BASKETBALL program begins the cycle of our very successful off-season development and at it's core is the FOUNDATION of our skill development and strength formation. What makes our program different is in the focus on our DEVELOPMENT and how we develop our players, our bodies and our leadership concepts.

The focus of our Spring is a two tier approach. We will be working out in the gym 2x a week and strength training 3x a week. Our #1 priority is to make important skill improvements on our fundamentals such as shooting, dribbling and finishing and to transform our bodies in terms of gaining muscle mass. The spring affords us the most time to focus on our players and these skill areas and really help our boys establish goals and help them achieve them. By the end of this spring period, each of our players will have every opportunity to put 15-20 lbs of muscle and gain confidence in the individual skill sets which will help them going into the summer.

SMCAA HS Basketball Gym Workouts (Mon & Wed) at Barth Athletic Complex - 7:30 - 9:00 PM

HS Strength and Conditioning Workouts (Tues, Thurs, Fri) - 5:30 - 6:30 PM

Our spring program will start the week of March 3rd.

Our workouts are coordinated through SMCAA and require official SMUSD permits and rental fees. Our spring basketball fee of $500 will cover our gym rental fees, pays for our strength workouts and strength coach and helps supplement program resources and pay coaches for their time.

We will be putting together a Titanium HS spring select team from this spring group. We will not be able to select everyone but there is a potential of two teams depending on the numbers and positions needed. Once we finalize our team(s), we will divide the cost of our tournament team entry fee accordingly.

May 2-4 – Puma NXTPRO Event in Los Angeles, CA (Possibility for Varsity Only)

May 3-4 Stroke Awareness (MAP & AIM)

May 11 - Mother’s Day

Our two HS spring select teams will be participating in the Spring Madness Shootout at Pasadena HS.

Our two HS spring select teams will be participating in the Grassroots 365 Spring Hoopfest - 4/26-27. This event will be hosted at OGP in Anaheim.

Our two HS spring select teams will be participating in the AVAC Easter Shootout 4/19. This event will be hosted at the MAPS in Garden Grove.

Our two HS spring select teams will be participating in the AVAC Final IV Basketball Tourney 3/29-3/30. This event will be hosted at the MAPS in Garden Grove.

Our two HS spring select teams will be participating in the Focus Basketball Tournament event 3/15-16. This event will be hosted at the MAPS in Garden Grove.
