Charley Tanner

Anna Charley Tanner, 18, of Little Rock, died on Thursday, April 21, 2016.

Charley was born February 20, 1998 and attended Mount Saint Mary Academy, where she was scheduled to graduate in May 2016. She planned to continue her education at the University of Arkansas and train to be a pediatric nurse.

Charley was a beautiful spirit who loved and experienced life to the fullest. She was known for her strong will and standing up for what she believed to be right. Charley was blessed with many great friends and was devoted to being a great friend in return. One of Charley’s best and most special friends was William McCastlain, who always treated Charley with the respect and love that she deserved.

Charley was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clyde Grissom and uncle, Lanny Grissom.
Charley is survived by her parents, Chris and Samantha Tanner of Little Rock; her brother, Blaine Tanner of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandparents, Pat and Jimmy Johnson of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Dottie and Ken Gill, Jenny and Robert Tanner, of Little Rock and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A special thank you is extended to the amazing nurses and physicians who worked tirelessly, remained in the hospital during off duty hours and provided love and compassion to the family and friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 25 at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jay Clark officiating. A private inurnment will be in the Columbarium Garden of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
