Where does fundraiser money go??

WHERE DOES FUNDRAISER MONEY GO?

This is a question we hear a lot! We use the money from fundraisers to keep our registration costs low. We are by far the largest organization in the Clackamas County area. All other organizations charge much more for their registration fees than we do. In addition to using our fundraiser money to keep our costs low. here is a small list of things we spend money on each season:

  • Game balls for baseball & softball
  • Practice balls for each of our 65+ teams (you'd be surprised by how many balls don't come back each year!)
  • Equipment for our tball & rookie teams (bats, catchers gear, tees)
  • Field rental fees to the City
  • Facility rental fees (paid to OCHS high school baseball program, when we utilize their facility for practice/assessments/try-outs)
  • Umpire fees
  • Equipment for field work (lawn mowers, drags & maintenance of), gas for the equipment, chalkers, chalk and turface. We do all field work ourselves, the city does not do any work on the baseball/softball fields
  • Port-a-potties & combo locks to keep them clean
  • Internet service to run the ipads in the snack shacks
  • Hitting cages at Fischer's Mill

Our long term goal is to raise enough money to install another turf field within the city. Wesley Lynn #2 was paid for exclusively by OCPYS and a grant from Metro.
