Softball 

Pioneer Youth Sports has 4 levels of play under the USA Softball umbrella and by the Clackamas County Girls Softball Association

The Softball season generally starts after Spring Break and wraps up mid-June. Most teams will practice 2-3 times a week until games start and generally will play 2 games a week. Once games start, teams will likely have 1 additional practice each week on an off night.

Additional Tournaments are available - most teams will play in 1-2 additional tournaments throughout the season

Teams are typically formed on buddy and/or coach requests as well as grouping kids by neighborhood school when possible (no requests are guaranteed). Other factors are their prior spring team, age and incoming grade. It will vary quite a bit though because of the number of teams at each level, team sizes, etc.

Team sizes typically 12-14

Softball age based on age as of 9/1 (see age chart below)

For the 10u - 14u groups, PYS is planning on forming a Pioneer Premier team at each of these levels. There will be a tryout process and teams will be selected in January.
