Raptors 2027 Softball

The Raptors softball program is a travel program that is open to players from all towns. All Raptors players must meet the specific age requirements for the divisional tryout. The tryout dates for are below:

  • 8U Raptors (Part-time) is Friday, July 17th at 5:30pm and Saturday, July 18th at 9:00am on Field 2 at Heritage Park - Coach Thornton: [email protected]
  • 9U Raptors (Part-time) is Monday, June 29th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Field 2 at Heritage Park - Coach Froehner: [email protected]
  • 10U Raptors (Part-time) is Tuesday, July 7th from 5pm - 7pm on Field 2 at Heritage Park - Coach Weiland: [email protected]
  • 11U Raptors (Full-time) is Wednesday, June 24th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Field 2 at Heritage Park - Coach Glenn: [email protected]

If a player cannot make a tryout date, a private tryout may be requested. Please contact the coach of the team to schedule the tryout.

Each team will have their own budget and number of tournaments may vary by team. If playing in a part-time program, the player is also required to play recreational softball in Manteno or the player's local league.

As part of this registration, we ask parents to sign up your kids on the website prior to the tryout date. The registration is a two-step process. The initial step is to provide the players information for the tryout. If a player makes the team, then the parent will be asked to complete the final piece of the registration information related to payment. All players will be notified whether they make the team or not.

  • 9U Raptors (Part-Time) is Wednesday, July 15th from 5pm - 7pm at Heritage Park on Field 3. Coach Bird: [email protected]
  • 10U Raptors (Part-Time) is Tuesday, July 7th from 5pm - 7pm at Heritage Park on Field 1. Coach Sobodas: [email protected]
  • 10U Raptors (Full-Time) is Wednesday, July 8th from 5pm - 7pm at Heritage Park on Field 1. Coach Spainhour: [email protected]
  • 11U Raptors (Full-Time) is Wednesday, July 1st from 6pm - 8pm at Heritage Park on Field 1. Coach Nowak: [email protected]
  • 12U Raptors (Full-Time) is Friday, July 10th at 5:30pm and Saturday, July 11th at 10am at Heritage Park Field 1- Coach Nitsche: [email protected]
  • 13U Raptors (Full-Time) is Wednesday, July 29th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at 315 Sports Complex - Coach Clark: [email protected]

The investment includes uniforms, practice facility usage, and tournaments. Players registering for a part-time travel program are also required to play in the recreational league in Manteno or the player's local league.
