BSC Field Closure Information
The BSC fields generally remain open except in the event of cold (wind chill less than 20), heat (heat index more than 105), storms, or extremely heavy rain or wet fields.
The BSC Lightning policy is as follows: If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, players and coaches should immediately clear the fields and begin a 30-minute delay. The 30-minute delay clock restarts each time lightning is seen or thunder is heard. Play may only resume after there have been no lightning or thunder events in the previous 30 minutes.
In the event of inclement weather, decisions on field status will typically be made between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. during the week and between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on the weekends.
