Super Y League, also known as Super Y, is an elite summer youth league created by  United Soccer League.   The league started over 15 years ago to provide summer  competition for the elite male and female youth soccer player.  There are clubs that  participate from all over the United States and Canada.  At the end of each summer  league, the top two teams in each division compete in December for their respective  National Championship at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl.

Some offers will be sent to players immediately following the first tryout session. If your player does not receive an offer immediately that does NOT mean they did not make the team. The tryout process is meant to be as thorough as possible to ensure that ALL players are assessed. Offers will be sent before and after the first two tryout sessions. The third tryout session will only be used if further assessment is necessary.

Offer acceptances will have deadlines assigned to them. The team rosters need to be complete as soon as possible.

When and Where are the 2016 Super Y Summer League Tryouts?

The Smyrna Soccer Club Super Y Summer League Tryouts will be January 30th and February 6th from 1-3 PM at Jonquil Park (2801 Park Rd, Smyrna, GA 30080)

 

We will have 2 training sessions per week with days/times/venues TBD. Training will begin in Mid-May.

 

If your child is selected for any of our teams, we will send out an email asking for  your possible vacation days.  This will allow the coach to pick the team based upon  the players available.

 

For U12 age group, we are allowed to have a roster of 25 players.  From these 25 players, only 18 are  selected to dress on game day. The numbers will be adjusted lower based on U11 9v9 play and U10 7v7 play accordingly.

 

When will we know about the game day roster?

The coaches will pick their game day roster on every Wednesday, submit their  rosters to us, and then we will notify each roster pool that night.

 

Games will start in June and go through July.  Based upon the amount of teams in  each age group, our teams will play between 8-12 games this summer.  We will have  a game schedule from USL around April after our Division meeting in late March.

 

The fee for Super Y this year is 350.00  (Full-Time Player). Developmental Player Fee is $200 in which if a Developmental Player is asked to play in a match, a $50 per game fee up to 3 Games is charged (once 3rd game is played, player is transferred to Full-Time status and no other fees are required). Included in this fee is your training shirt.  

Uniform is not included but existing Smyrna SC players can wear their current club uniform. For new players, a uniform kit can be purchased via soccer.com for $80. 

The only additional fee is your own travel costs associated with the  away games and coach's travel expenses.
