2024 Tackle Football Season

Welcome to the PV Mavericks Tackle Football Family!

Our tackle program has four divisions that includes children ages 9 through 14. The goal of our program is to teach children how to play football, have fun, and develop a love for the game. The bonds formed within each team are priceless and become a foundation to build upon not just for football but for life.

We are affiliated with Pop Warner Little Scholars and our league is the Southern California Conference (SCC), part of the Wescon Region. We play other tackle teams in Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Each season there are playoffs leading to the SCC Super Bowl at each level. Winners of the SCC Super Bowl typically advance to play in the Wescon Regionals for a chance to play in the National Super Bowl held in Orlando Florida.

Information to Gather BEFORE you register your player:
Tackle Registration opens on March 1st and closes when rosters are full. Players placed on the waitlist will be notified if a spot is available. Registration fees are $500.

Every player must upload a player photo at registration. The photo requirements are as follows: Headshot style, straight on photo within the past 3 months, natural light, passport photo style.  Please have this ready before you register your player.

Required Tackle Football Paperwork:
All the paperwork work is due to your Team Manager by 7/1/2024.
2024 Pop Warner Participant Contract and Parental Consent Form - You will be required to upload this during registration
2024 Physical Fitness Medical History Form - You will be required to upload this during registration
Concussion Information Sheet 1 original (sign bottom of last page)
Sudden Cardiac Arrest Information Sheet 1 original (sign bottom of last page)
Boundary Waiver (if residing outside of PV Mavericks boundaries). Priority is given to participants living or attending school within our boundaries.
Age Verification (New Participants) Original plus 2 copies
Proof of Residence (New Participants)
Report Card - 2 copies - COMPLETE 2023-2024 Academic Year reduced to 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of paper.  

Tackle Football Divisions:

Palos Verdes Pop Warner offers Age Based 11-Man Tackle Football for ages 9 through 14 years old.
The age of the participant on July 31st will be the Age Division they will be eligible to be placed in. To verify age, A COPY of a valid Birth Certificate is required to be provided to Palos Verdes Pop Warner.

Divisions
11U - 9, 10, and 11 years old
12U - 10, 11 and 12 years old
13U - 11, 12, and 13 years old
14U - 12, 13, and 14 years old

PLEASE NOTE:
PV POP WARNER DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL AGE DIVISIONS WILL BE FORMED.  

PV POP WARNER DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT EVERY PARTICIPANT WILL BE PLACED IN A DIVISION COMPRISED ONLY OF PARTICIPANTS OF THE SAME AGE 

PV POP WARNER MAY COMBINE AGE GROUPS INTO TEAMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POP WARNER DIVISION/AGES ABOVE.

PV POP WARNER DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT A PARTICIPANT WILL PLAY IN THEIR OLDEST ELIGIBLE AGE DIVISION.

Division placement is based on the number of participants registered for a particular division.
Palos Verdes Pop Warner has player safety at the forefront of every team formation.

TEAM SIZE:
The MINIMUM players per team is 16 players
The MAXIMUM players per team is 30 players
