Q: How can I register my team?
A: Registrations only through Teamsnap. Payments by credit card using Teamsnap or via Venmo @MadisonYouthSoccer or mail to MYSC; PO Box 4099; Madison, CT 06443. You will be required to submit a roster and waivers. You can email these to [email protected].
Q: How do I determine tournament standings?
A: Teamsnap will update constantly. Install teamsnap on your phone and encourage all team families to do the same. All standings and points will be allotted based on the MIST tournament rules.
Q: How should I classify my team?
A: Competitive means Travel and Travel Rec means Recreational from a Town Soccer perspective.
So for example if you have a Colchester U13 Comp team. That should be listed as "Competitive" and then "A B or C" depending on ability level. A is most skilled for that division, C is most novice for that group.
If you have a U12 Travel Rec team, that should be listed as "Travel Rec" and then "A B or C".
Q: How many games will my team play?
A: All teams play 4 games, 2 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday, within a block of several hours.
Q: Will there be food available at the fields?
A: Each site will have food vendors. There are also plenty of food options in nearby downtown Madison.
Q: Do players receive trophies?
A: In each bracket of around 5 teams, there will be a winning team, and each member of the winning team will receive a trophy. There is also a special sportsmanship medal that is granted to a member of the opposition at the conclusion of each game. All players will receive drawstring bags
