WE ARE BEND FC
As of April 12, 2022 our girls teams are now known as official Thorns. Together with our Timbers boys teams, WE ARE BEND FC!
We were honored to host the Portland Thorns preseason training here in Bend a few months ago and we are so happy to continue building on that relationship by proudly wearing a Bend Thorns badge. As a club we want to recognize the many accomplishments of the incredibly talented women soccer players in Oregon as well as inspire the next generation of girls just starting in the sport. This is one of the first steps in aligning our mission and vision for the future of girls’ youth soccer with the Portland Thorns.
The alliance with the Timbers and Thorns has been important to us for a long time and the club leadership is dedicated to continually improving the experience for our players and families. This an exciting and logical next step as our club begins to leverage the relationship with the Portland Timbers (MLS) and Portland Thorns (NWSL) professional soccer organizations. We will be able to collaborate with and use the Thorns as a resource for our own players which is imperative for our own development as a club and we couldn't be more excited for our female players at Bend FC. Now is the perfect time for us to make this change as we head into our new 2022/2023 season.
