Competitive Soccer was developed to provide players with an opportunity to pursue soccer at the highest levels of competition. This program is for skilled and motivated players who desire this increased level of competition and commitment to the game of soccer. Players must try out to be selected for a competitive team. Travel is involved for away games and tournaments throughout the year, including the winter months.
The Youth Premier Academy is comprised of two phases, u11-u12, playing small-sided 9v9 games, and u13-u14, playing full-field 11v11 soccer.
As a member of a Youth Premier Academy Team, you will benefit from the following:
- OYSA League games (Fall and Spring)
OYSA Cup Tournament (Founders, President or State)
Summer Tournaments included in player fees (assigned by team, see below)
2-3 training sessions per week
Goalkeeping Training
Player Evaluations
Bend FC Staff Coach
To be considered for a Bend FC Youth Premier Academy Team:
Players must tryout in May, supplemental tryouts may be available for some teams during the year
Commitment is for a year, travel to away games is expected
Bend FC Uniform kit is required
2023-2024 Season at a Glance for u11-u14 Teams
Tryouts in May
Train 2x* per week, June - April, 2024 *Red teams to train 3x per week during league
Training moves indoors 1x per week, December - February
Bend Premier Cup - July 7-9, 2023 (included in player fees)
Summer Tournaments (varies by team, included in player fees)
Club breaks: August 7-18, 2023, Thanksgiving week, December 28, 2023 - January 1, 2024, and BLPSD spring break week, March 25-29, 2024.
OYSA Fall League (division level determined by Bend FC coaching staff)
Premier teams: games from early September - late November
Division 1 & 2 games from early September - end of October
Expect to travel for half of league games at the Premier level, Division 1 & 2 games are played from Eugene to Vancouver. Away weekends typically are two or three games over two days with a Saturday night hotel stay.
OYSA Spring League (division level determined by Bend FC coaching staff)
Premier teams: games from early February - March (ends before spring break)
Division 1 & 2 games from early March to early May
Similar travel format to Fall OYSA league.
OYSA Tournaments: Founders, Presidents and State Cups
Presidents & Founders Cup are played in November for Division 1/2 teams and some Premier Silver teams.
State Cup (Premier Gold and some Premier Silver teams) is played in April/early May.
